Kahli has been telling me for weeks that her eyes have gotten really bad and she can not see well. My response has been the same..... "Honey, when we get the check from the IRS in May, we will go to the eye doctor and get you new glasses."So last Wednesday I took Kahli down to the DMV to get her driver's liscense. Well after trying two different machines...reading with the left eye...reading with the right eye...still she can not see the line she was supposed to read. WE LEFT!!! No liscense today.
Yes, I called the eye doctor and made her an appointment for Saturday.
Upon arriving at the eye doctor, he asked her some questions about school and how she was seeing the board and if she sat in front of the room and if her current glasses were helping her at all...
He then proceeded to tell us that her vision in both eyes were 20/200.....WOW...Kahli could not see anything.....
Okay on Friday I won the "mother of the day" awarded by Kahli and her friends for me picking up lunch at Wendy's and delivering it to them after taking a test.....Today, Saturday I have won the "worst mother of the year" award presented to me by me.
I feel absolutely horrible that she has not been able to see and today we got her contacts AND glasses....
Bottom line, just listen to your children when they talk!!!!
